(Inquiry-based Learning)

JC CoolScience Cultivating Future Innovative Problem-Solvers at Sai Kung Sung Tsun

To align with the Education Bureau's development of the Primary Science curriculum and fully implement our goal of equipping students for the future, our teacher Mr. Wong Nok Hang was selected this year to participate in the "JC CoolScience" program, receiving systematic training as an "Advanced Teacher."

Deepening Inquiry-based Learning

By introducing top-tier, high-quality science resources, Mr. Wong is dedicated to implementing inquiry-based teaching. He guides students to personally experience the complete scientific process of "observation, questioning, exploration, and discovery," igniting their curiosity about science.

Connecting with the "Framework for the Future" (FfF): Optimizing the Existing Curriculum

In alignment with the pillars of "Co-creating with Technology" and "Coexisting with Nature" in our school's FfF, our Advanced Teacher focuses on integrating scientific inquiry with real-life contexts, comprehensively training students' critical thinking and Engineering Mindset.

Classroom Practice: Greenhouse Curriculum — Hands-on Experience

Science is never just on paper! In this curriculum, students step into the greenhouse not only to gain hands-on experience in the daily care of plants and facilities but also to face ecological challenges in a real-world environment. They proactively think and design solutions, cultivating themselves into future citizens with environmental awareness and scientific literacy through practical experience.

Teaser for Learning Outcomes Showcase

Primary 4 students will officially exhibit their practical science achievements from the greenhouse curriculum, alongside the Primary 6 Enhancement-based Learning (EBL) projects, at the "STS Green. Smart Future" event on June 12th. Please look forward to our children's innovative ideas!
