親子賣旗活動-香港導盲犬協會

Parent-Child Flag Day - Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association

 

早前，9對親子為「香港導盲犬協會」賣旗義工服務。當中，同學已有不少賣旗經驗，欣賞他們遇到路上行人便主動上前打招呼，邀請買旗支持。當面對被拒絕時，仍能保持有禮。另外，有些同學是第一次賣旗，雖然起初因怕被拒絕或未熟悉環境而感到害怕和擔心，但他們看著家長熱情的示範，慢慢被感染到，開始嘗試鼓起勇氣，向陌生人交流。

其實，透過義工服務，也能培養孩子「勇氣」、「社交智慧」和「堅毅」等品格強項。當然，家長全程投入的身教，對孩子願意踏出安舒區也起了很大的作用。鼓勵大家也多參與義工服務，關心和支持社區內有需要的群體。

 

Earlier, nine parent-child pairs volunteered for the "Hong Kong Guide Dog Association" by selling flags. Among them, many students had previous experience selling flags. I admired how they proactively greeted passersby and invited them to buy flags in support of the cause. Even when faced with rejection, they maintained their politeness. Some students were selling flags for the first time. Although they initially felt scared and worried about being rejected or were unfamiliar with the environment, they watched their parents' enthusiastic demonstrations and gradually became inspired. They began to muster the courage to communicate with strangers.

 

In fact, volunteering can help cultivate important character strengths in children, such as "courage," "social intelligence," and "resilience." Of course, the active involvement of parents serves as a significant influence on children’s willingness to step out of their comfort zones. I encourage everyone to participate more in volunteer services and to care for and support groups in need within the community.
